For young artists passionate about music and covers, the experience of the band Blueries serves as a true source of inspiration. This talented group, specializing in Funk, Soul, Pop, and Disco covers, recently had an unforgettable week during a live and creative residency at Club Med Marbella. A unique musical opportunity
It all started with a music competition organized by Club Med Live in partnership with Linkaband. The goal? To give artists with a repertoire of covers the chance to join the Club Med Live program and provide G.Ms (Gentil Members) with that "extra spark of emotion" that truly resonates. Over 70 applications were reviewed against the selection criteria for the Club Med Live program:
- A strong repertoire of international, ideally festive, covers.
- A cultural fit with the Club Med spirit.
- High-quality live performances (sound and stage presence).
- A modern artistic direction.
Thanks to their overflowing energy, eagerness to connect with a new audience, and a repertoire designed to captivate all age groups, Blueries quickly stood out. The group won an all-inclusive, week-long live and creative residency in Marbella—an exceptional opportunity to refine their craft and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
It was difficult to select just one group among so much talent, so other promising candidates who met the program’s criteria were also given access to the program. After all, the more, the merrier, right?
A week of inspiration and live performances
Blueries made the most of this musical escape to Andalusia. Every day was a mix of intense rehearsals, cultural discoveries, and moments of relaxation. Their daily schedule included activities like flying trapeze lessons, exploring Marbella and the local scenery, swimming, and performing live for the G.Ms. By blending exploration and hard work, the group drew fresh inspiration, describing the experience as "Rehearsing in a new, inspiring, and rejuvenating environment."
Connections and inspiration: the impact of an artistic residency
A standout feature of this music competition was the presence of Laurène, a talented videographer selected by Linkaband, who documented the adventure. Her mission? To tell their story through vibrant visuals to be shared on their social media, helping them engage with their community and inspire other artists. These visuals allowed the band’s journey to be featured on the Linkaband and Club Med Instagram and YouTube accounts, giving them excellent exposure.
This best practice of creating opportunities is something the program plans to maintain for future groups embarking on similar journeys.

This residency was far more than just a musical getaway. It was a dream opportunity for young artists to:

- Connect with a new audience and test their setlist live. Their time in Marbella helped them forge bonds with an international audience eager to discover their musical universe: “Over the week, we felt people were increasingly looking forward to seeing us perform,” the band shared.
