Groover and Club Med Live continue to build their shared story for creatives. After the conclusion of the 3rd edition of our artistic competition to join our open stage, it’s time to reflect on this artistic adventure that marked the year for the program. This event has become a must for artists passionate about covers and tribute acts, who dream of performing in exceptional venues.
1000 candidates, a selection closely aligned with Club Med Live's criteria
This edition attracted many artists, all generous and full of inspiration. Over 1000 artists tried their luck, eager to win the opportunity for an all-inclusive Live & Creative residency. This experience offers a chance to refine their setlist, adjust their live performances in front of a cosmopolitan audience, and produce content for their community or project in breathtaking settings. The artists who best met the selection criteria – adaptability, positive energy, high-quality live performances, modern artistic direction, and "family & kids friendly" compatibility – earned their ticket to join the adventure.
This year, six winners caught the attention of the Groover and Club Med Live teams: Kanou, Bayaticha, Par Cœur, Phare, Massbeat, and Funky French League.
The world becomes an open stage for the winning artists
Among them, Kanou, the grand winner of the competition, had a unique experience in Opio in Provence. Accompanied by her band, the artist took advantage of this lavender-scented setting to strengthen her team’s bonds, perfect her performances, and capture musical moments through photo shoots and live session recordings. A fruitful residency for her and her musicians, which culminated in a promised record deal with the Obsessions label, further empowering her project and opening new distribution opportunities.
For Bayaticha, it was off to the sunny Algarve, in Da Balaia. Their sets found the perfect resonance in this Portuguese backdrop, where they were able to refine their live performances while enjoying the sea breeze and spectacular landscapes. A golden opportunity to hone their craft and attract a new international audience.
The duo Par Cœur chose to travel even further, embarking on a two-week residency on the island of Mauritius. This is also what the Club Med Live program offers: a truly creative laboratory experience. Between performances on the white sandy beaches by the sea and video clips shared with their community, every moment was captured to prolong the magic of this adventure.
A springboard to boost inspiration
The Club Med Live x Groover competition is not just a musical interlude; it’s an opportunity to propel one’s career forward. Performing covers in front of a diverse audience allows artists to refine their artistic direction, giving them the freedom to express their creativity during their "off" times. Artists are encouraged to adapt, innovate, and convey an energy that captivates all ages, from the youngest to the most experienced. It’s also an opportunity to envision new horizons, form partnerships, and strengthen one’s artistic identity.
